Alternative Giving

Our mission is broad and diverse.  We want to encourage a very skilled population of survivors of abuse to offer their life skills to young victims.  These skills can range from social skills, worker training and hiring, educational tutoring, and recreational opportunities.  Those interested in offering short term housing may be able to offer young victims a chance to go to an emergency home.  All the areas noted above involve mentoring those victims struggling victims of abuse.

We look at all outreach efforts as an opportunity to help those facing both immediate and long term effects from their abuse.  The effort must be comprehensive and detailed to provide a new future to those seeking assistance.  Our first priority is to oversee both public and private assistance to young victims.  Police, prosecutors, judiciary, social services, educational organizations, mental health organizations, and victim assistance programs must be held accountable for the services they are offering to victims of abuse.  This oversight requires attendance at governance meetings, correspondence, and community activism.  Bureaucrats tend to place their survival in their jobs as the most important element of their daily activities.  We must be willing to seek change where necessary for the majority of victims entering the system.  Our children can be better served by people who are competitive in the market place.  We do not need care givers working on their own survival standing in the way of good service to the community.

All these efforts are a great and productive way to provide meaningful help no matter your individual financial circumstances.  We are making a difference daily.

Wish List

Horse Equipment

We need additional tack and related horse equipment.  The list includes endurance saddles, saddle pads, running martingales, neoprene bridles and girth equipment, shipping halters, lead lines and halters, and foul weather horse blankets.

We are in need of personal equipment including boots, riding trousers, foul weather gear, helmets, gloves, and safety glasses.  The personal equipment must be new equipment.

Property Improvements

We are responsible for the maintenance of a large property in Covington, GA.  We need assistance with the improvement of both pastures and woodlands.  The improvements planned for the property include 30’ wide fire breaks used routinely for horse trails, camping sites, night lighting for our track area, fence lines, gates, and water & electrical pipelines.  All the improvements noted above are critical for the reduction in expenses and the enhancement of the property.  We have a thirty year lease for the continuing mission envisioned.

Farm Equipment

We need all the equipment used in the maintenance of home and farm land.  We need equipment to perform the necessary upgrades and maintenance noted above.  The equipment list includes tractors, tractor attachments, blowers, trimmers, hand tools, and a riding mower.  We would gladly accept the use of your equipment until we are able to acquire our own tools.

Many Thanks To Our Donors!

Our donors come from all walks of life. We have corporate sponsors, generous individuals, and fee simple donors. All forms of revenue support our organization's goals. Some of our sponsors remain anonymous while others are able to openly support our efforts by employing our horses. We do not discuss or primary mission with our supporters and we do not accept funds that inhibit our ability to provide effective advocacy representation. It is important to be able to speak truth to power. For this reason, we do not accept public funds to sustain operations.
We ask for donations from the communities we support. Donors can give directly to support our horses through the race team. The race team is a group of committed horse enthusiasts donating specifically for the upkeep of the horses. These donors are traditionally weekend riders interested in enjoying our horses and maintaining their expenses. Survivors enjoy the horses during the week when our donors are busy working in their careers. We integrate both groups easily.

We ask donors with little interest in horses to support our efforts by donating a scholarship for a deserving child. Each child coming into our program is not given a time table for their departure. We are offering a coping mechanism for our students and we do not take away their access to this sport. Our only request for each child is to pass on their education and experience to other survivors of abuse. Mentoring is the lifeblood of our success in the long run. We currently have students in need of financial support. Our only limitation to growth is the generosity of the community.
