Adopt-A-Horse will be five years old on August 15, 2008. The program developed from a desire to help myself by helping other victims of childhood abuse. The program started with three horses that were used for endurance racing and a desire to help others find the therapeutic effect that horses have had on me. Since we have been working on the program full time for three years, the concept has developed into a working program that has grown in size and sophistication. We have identified a dual role for our organization. Both roles have been developed from requests for assistance from those children and adults we have worked with over the years...
